Pam and Yanni went to Margot Anand's Tantra workshop in New York City in 1992 to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary and this event changed their lives. Margo was one of the first to organize Tantra teachings in the Western world. As her students, Pam and Yanni started to practice Tantra which, made them more self-aware of their inner-selves and of the inner-workings of their relationship.
Since their first Tantra workshop, Pam and Yanni have followed the instructions of several Tantra teachers and have spent time and energy advancing their understanding and skills of Tantra. Their passion led them to become Tantra instructors and eventually establish the Ashimore Center.
Pam and Yanni soon discovered that singles who love themselves first can manifest their ideal lover and couples who love themselves first can love their partner more. By loving yourself first, you make your relationship with your beloved one stronger. Healthy relationships last for many years.
The Ashimore Center was formed to organize events that guide the participants to find intimacy and to expand their self-awareness through Tantra and other self improvement methods. They learn to bring their love for themselves and for others to present consciousness.
Pam says "We are not hands-on practitioners or massage therapists. We do not provide dating services and we are not affiliated with any religion. We work through our hearts, our minds and our experiences”. Yanni adds " Ashimore is our passion. This is not work for us; it is fun and it is about offering Tantra as a means of helping others expand their self-awareness".
Pam and Yanni work closely with Jelle Bode and Steve and Lokita Carter. They have mentored with the Carters through the Institute for Ecstatic Living.
